Understanding Hate Crime

Time: 2 hours

In this session, young people will explore what a hate crime is before taking part in discussions and activities which explore the topics of protected characteristics, forms of hate crimes, and what might be a barrier to reporting a hate crime. The young people then reflect on why it is important that hate crimes are reported.
