Programme
The King’s Trust Achieve programme is a flexible personal development programme.
It is designed to support and empower students aged 11-19 (and up to 25 with SEN statement or EHCP) who may need additional assistance to succeed in education.
It supports education providers by providing learning resources and guidance for you to deliver flexibly in your setting. There is also the option for Achieve learners to gain a King’s Trust qualification. Our qualifications are regulated by the appropriate regulatory bodies.
The Achieve programme helps learners to develop skills and experience for life, whilst building their confidence to realise their potential.
Complete flexibility. Tailor the Achieve programme to the needs of your learners, your timetable, and your curriculum. You decide what topics to deliver and how to deliver them.
Free session plans and resources. Join the Achieve network and receive access to our library of resources. Our Achieve resources cover topics from Career Planning, Sustainability to Money Management. Browse our to look at the full range.
Regulated qualification options. We offer two qualifications – both regulated by the appropriate regulatory bodies (location dependent). You can decide whether your learners work towards these.
Designated support. Support from a King’s Trust contact as you deliver the Achieve programme.
Free training. We provide free training to all staff who will be delivering the Achieve programme.
Networking events. Networking opportunities can be provided throughout the year, depending on your location. This gives you the opportunity to meet other Achieve partners and share best practice.

Coaching, mentoring and pastoral support are embedded across programmes, often holistically, not just careers focused. This support comes from the Achieve Adviser, and/or mentor.
Goal setting and progression tracking are embedded into all programmes in Education and young people take part in personal development reflection activities to track their transformation.
Achieve links personal development, employability, work experience, enterprise and progression planning into a coherent programme. Community projects, employer engagement and work experience activities help learners connect learning with future opportunities.
Achieve is designed for learners aged 11-19 and introduces career awareness, workplace behaviours, enterprise, teamwork and employability skills before learners make major education and career decisions.
Achieve provides a structured framework, quality-assured teaching resources, staff training, regulated qualifications, standardised assessment materials and external quality assurance through King's Trust Qualifications.
Achieve is specifically designed for learners who may be disengaged or need additional support to succeed. Its flexible delivery model allows centres to tailor learning to individual learner needs, interests and progression goals.
Achieve supports differentiated learning through practical, experiential delivery, portfolio-based assessment, personal target-setting and flexible qualification pathways. The programme is available up to age 25 for learners with SEN statements or EHCPs.
Through the Digital Skills and Career Planning units, learners develop the ability to access online careers information, research opportunities, evaluate digital resources and use technology to support career decision-making.
Achieve includes community impact projects, volunteering, enterprise and personal development activities that can involve families, local organisations and community stakeholders. Portfolio evidence and learner achievements also provide tangible outcomes that can be shared with parents and carers.

Skills Suite Wales supports exploration of careers, further education, apprenticeships and employment pathways. Achieve encourages learners to identify future ambitions and progression opportunities.
Achieve develops communication, teamwork, confidence, problem-solving and leadership skills. Skills Suite Wales focuses on personal development, career planning, teamwork, presentation skills and preparing for work. Learners can build recognised employability skills through Personal Development and Employability Skills units.
Skills Suite Wales includes career planning, workplace learning and employability-focused activities linked to the world of work. Enrichment opportunities allow learners to tackle real-world business problems and present solutions.

Skills Suite Wales supports career exploration and planning by helping learners understand employer expectations, workplace skills and progression routes.
