Nail Art Achieve Enrichment Session

The schools on our in-person model are being offered enrichment sessions to help more young people begin engaging with the trust. Ten pupils from S2-S6 took part in a nail enrichment session at St. Andrews Academy as part of the schools King's Trust offer. The pupils worked with the YDL and learned facts about the beauty industry, basic anatomy of the nails, how to safely use nail tools and spent time learning how to do nail designs, including the use of gems, foils and basic nail art. "The girls loved the course and your delivery, and are keen to do it again"

School transitions programme!

The School Transitions Programme has continued to run successfully in its second year, with themes including hairdressing, painting, sport, construction, technology and childcare. The 3-week programme is aimed at 15-17 year-olds who are unsure of their next steps leaving school. It provides personal development and employability skills as well as the opportunity to get practical experience with a delivery partner. The young people on these courses have gone on to do amazing things, from starting a marketing course at college, to setting up an at-home beauty studio!

Airdrie Academy - Margaret Campbell Levy Award

Xavier, a student currently taking part in our Achieve Programme, has been recognised for his amazing progress and achievements. As well as recently achieving his Level 5 PDE Certificate this month, Xavier was recently awarded the Margaret Campbell Leavy award at the Airdrie Academy awards session. This award was for “Outstanding commitment, participation and overall achievement in Achieve” and recognised the work he has done with the King’s Trust Education programme.

We coordinate our 5 education programmes: Achieve, School Transitions Programme, Mosaic, Enterprise Challenge and Achieve Project Awards, as well as our Team Programme and Youth Guarantee Programme for 16 and overs.
