Experiencing the World of Work (PDE)

This unit develops learners' skills and understanding of the workplace. This is done through preparing for, attending and reviewing a work experience placement. It is also an opportunity for learners to obtain a work reference which they may find useful in the future. Increasingly there is more and more research demonstrating how important work experience is in helping learners move into paid employment.

How will this unit be assessed?

Learners must successfully demonstrate they have covered all learning outcomes at the level they are working towards to pass this unit. They will be assessed through a portfolio of evidence. A tracking sheet must be submitted with the portfolio of evidence. Tracking sheets should be downloaded from the .
